In the photos above, she looks like an attractive young woman, with full curves and a mischievous look in her eyes.
Nothing wrong with it...
Would you say...
From the text, the customer doesn't seem to know whether what he received is how it was supposed to be...
He's unsure whether the product he received is really allowed to be as bad as it is.
Below you can see what the American eventually received after ordering from that webshop.

Would you be happy?...
Wrong eye makeup, no full lipstick, crooked eyes, eyebrows that are too thin, no blush, the wrong wig.
One thing does seem to have gone right: the eye color...
Not only did the customer not get what he bought, but returning it is probably no longer an option, and we'll have to wait and see what the after-sales team would do to resolve this delivery issue.
We see it happening more and more: customers having bad experiences because they simply don't get what they ordered.
Not only is it disappointing for the customer, but it's also demotivating for the industry.
That's why we always warn people when they buy a product online where visual details matter.
Do we do it better? Read on below ;)
A while ago, we shipped Lily to a customer, a silicone doll with an Asian appearance.
Below are the photographer's photos and a photo from production. This is how the doll eventually arrived at the customer's home.
Matching visual features brought to life with care and attention to detail, just like in the photos.

He got exactly what he ordered. This doll was custom-made, and we specifically listened to the customer's makeup preferences.
Cherry-red lips, subtle shadow makeup, chestnut-brown eyes, and silky, glossy implanted hair.
Not a wig, but hair implanted one strand at a time. With a gorgeous body made of 100% silicone. (Implanted hair is only possible with a silicone face, by the way.)
Meanwhile, we're continuing to work on fully customized sex dolls. We occasionally test different designs and try to bring the most beautiful and attractive combinations to market.

Above, you can see the lovely face of Annabel in all its glory, just as beautiful in production as in the photos.

Above, you can see a batch of faces for the sex doll Claudia, all consistently the same quality and just as beautiful as in the product photos. It's work we're truly proud of, thanks especially to our makeup artists, who give each face the perfect look.
What the customer did wrong
The American customer made several crucial misjudgments that are common among first-time buyers:
- Put too much trust in stock photos: He assumed the photos on the website were an exact 1-to-1 representation of the product that would be in the box.
- Didn't research the seller: The customer apparently didn't know what the industry's standard quality should be, which is why he was still wondering whether this was "normal" even after delivery.
- Didn't check for 'real-life' photos: He ordered without asking for photos of the actual production process (factory photos) or previous deliveries from that specific shop.
- Bought based on appearance without checking the guarantees: The focus was purely on the visual promise, without considering the shop's after-sales reputation or return policy.
How he could have avoided these problems
To avoid ending up with a defective product, the customer should have taken the following steps:
- Ask for 'In-Stock' or 'Factory' photos: A legitimate seller can always show photos of dolls currently at the factory. As your example of Lily and Annabel shows, the doll on the workbench should look the same as the one on the website.
- Check the details (Makeup & Hair): Pay close attention to the finish. Cheap scams often feature sloppy makeup and low-quality wigs. High-quality details such as implanted hair (on silicone dolls) and hand-painted lips are signs of craftsmanship.
- Verify the source: Use tools such as reverse image search (Google) to check whether the photos on the website have simply been stolen from another manufacturer.
- Choose customization and communication: A good shop listens to specific requests (such as eye color or lipstick) and keeps the customer updated throughout the process. If a shop isn't available to discuss things before the purchase, it won't be available afterward either if there are problems.
- Understand the materials: Knowing that certain options (such as implanted hair) are only available with silicone helps you spot unrealistic promises from scam websites more quickly.
Don't let this put you off, but do stay on your guard. Otherwise, you could end up like the American customer, with a doll that doesn't live up to expectations.
