This form of hypnosis works differently than many people expect. You do not completely lose control over your body. It is more comparable to someone being brought into a mental state, like becoming aroused or more relaxed.
You hypnotize or arouse someone with words of affirmation, increasing the chance of arousal and reducing blockages. This can lead to more enjoyable and intense sex, but there is never a 100% guarantee.
The role of hypnosis in sexual arousal
Hypnosis affects the brain on a deep neurological level. Sexual arousal mainly arises in the brain and is not determined solely by physical stimuli. Through hypnosis, you bypass critical thinking and address the subconscious directly. This is where desires, fantasies, and arousal originate.
Through suggestion and focus, physical sensations are enhanced, shame is reduced, and the threshold to pleasure is lowered. People under hypnosis experience more intense orgasms, greater surrender, and a stronger connection with their own body and their partner. Hypnosis opens doors that normally remain closed.
Just like with a wet dream, it is not necessary to become aroused by seeing things or physical touch. Thinking about certain topics and fantasizing alone is also a form of hypnosis.

Techniques and applications
There are various techniques to apply sexual hypnosis, both in therapeutic and intimate situations. Below we explain the main ones based on a consulted article:
Technique: The use of hypnotic relaxation therapy involves participants being relaxed through hypnosis, with suggestions that promote relaxation and calm.
The therapy was applied to improve sexual dysfunction in postmenopausal women. Researchers used the Sexual Activity Questionnaire (SAQ) to measure sexual pleasure and discomfort. (1).
Application: Sexual hypnosis is used for the lasting improvement of intimacy, strengthening self-confidence, as a diagnostic tool, or as a supplement to behavioral therapy. Hypnosis can also work as a direct application (2).
Explanation per application
- As a diagnostic tool – Hypnosis can help identify underlying causes of sexual dysfunction.
- To boost self-confidence – Hypnotic suggestions can strengthen the client’s confidence and sexual self-esteem.
- As a complement to behavioral therapy – Hypnosis can be combined with behavioral therapy to address sexual dysfunctions.
- For immediate symptom relief – Hypnosis can directly reduce or eliminate sexual symptoms such as erectile problems, pain, or anxiety.
How can you safely use intimate hypnosis at home?
- Ensure clear, mutual consent.
Discuss what you want, don’t want, and agree on a safe word.
- Design the environment for a more pleasant experience.
- Start with regular relaxation hypnosis. Think of calm breathing, progressive relaxation, or visualization.
Only use it in an intimate context once this works well. Optionally apply a massage.
Use only general, positive suggestions. For example, relaxation, confidence, presence in the moment. No controlling or coercive suggestions.- Breathe slowly and deeply in through the nose, out through the mouth.
Focus your attention on the rhythm of your breathing. - Slowly tense and relax muscles from feet to head.
Notice how each body part relaxes. - Visualize a calm, safe place, like a beach or forest.
Imagine releasing all tension with each exhale. - Say softly things like “I feel relaxed” or “I am calm and present.”
Always keep suggestions positive and safe. Maintain this for 20 minutes. - Now slowly come back to consciousness
Slowly move your hands and feet. Open your eyes when you are ready. - Discuss your experience
Share what felt good and what felt less pleasant.
- Breathe slowly and deeply in through the nose, out through the mouth.
- Stop immediately if there is any discomfort.
Hypnosis should always remain voluntary and comfortable.
- Use it to increase connection and relaxation.
Not about controlling behavior or making someone do something against their will.
It’s all about creating the right mood, atmosphere, and warmth to maximize the chance that you are open to each other.
Remember: hypnosis is an option, but the best way to have more intense and frequent sex with a partner is by knowing how to make your partner orgasm.
