Store sex toys in a dry, dust-free place, separate from each other, and always clean after use. Proper storage prevents wear and tear, bacterial growth, and material damage.
Hygiene and storage tips
Good hygiene begins immediately after use. Clean each toy thoroughly, dry it completely with a clean microfiber cloth, and don't store it until it's completely dry. Always store toys in a separate fabric or satin storage bag. This prevents materials from corroding each other or dust and dirt from accumulating.
Never place silicone, glass, and metal toys directly against each other. Silicone can stick together, damaging the material. Glass and metal can scratch each other if left loose in a drawer. Use a lockable storage box or drawer organizer to keep everything organized and safe.
Always store toys in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. UV rays break down materials, especially silicone and rubber. Temperatures above 40°C (104°F) can warp or discolor the material.
What to do and not to do when cleaning toys
Do:
- Clean immediately after use with lukewarm water and a mild, unscented soap or a special toy cleaner.
- For toys with motors, use a slightly damp cloth and avoid getting water on the electronics.
- Always dry with a soft cloth to prevent scratches.
- Occasionally disinfect toys made of hard materials such as glass, stainless steel, or high-quality silicone by placing them in boiling water for 3 minutes (only if they are completely waterproof and do not contain a motor).
Don't:
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents such as bleach, alcohol, or abrasives; these will damage the material.
- Do not use rough sponges or scouring pads; they create microscopic scratches that harbor bacteria.
- Never completely submerge electrical toys unless the manufacturer guarantees they are 100% waterproof.
- Don't store toys wet; moisture causes bacteria and mold growth within 24 hours.
